"I heard rumors you would be at this conference," says collaborative lawyer Norma Trusch as she hugs Tim Hamilton, CEO of Web development firm Astonish Designs.
The Advanced Family Law Conference in San Antonio, Texas, is an annual gathering for Texas family lawyers, and Tim Hamilton has attended the conference for the past three years.
"Staying active and creating personal connections within the family law community is important," Hamilton says. "It's those personal connections that make our work so meaningful."
This year Tim Hamilton is promoting the launch of the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers group website featuring compelling user interfaces, an advanced search function integrating Google maps and premier AJAX technology, and a dynamic member photo gallery.
"Being here is great because we get to see people interacting with the finished product firsthand" Hamilton says.
The Austin based company Astonish Designs has been developing websites for lawyers and professional groups across the country for over six years.
Along with group law sites such as AAML TX and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Astonish Designs team has also created websites for individual family law firms such as Austin's Ausley, Algert, Robertson, and Flores, Higdon, Hardy Zuflacht of San Antonio and websites for private law practitioners like collaborative professional Norma Levine Trusch.
When asked about the future of Astonish Designs and family law, Tim Hamilton says, "We plan to continue creating both websites and Web applications for family lawyers to help streamline their business and promote their practice."
Meanwhile, Tim Hamilton will spend this week greeting his clients and dedicating his time to learning more about family law.
"I love it! It looks fantastic. Just excellent. Words really cannot express how pleased I am."
